I am a licensed and ASHA certified speech-language pathologist who has nearly 25 years of experience working in the public schools as well as in pediatric private practice. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Arizona State University. I served as the Lead Speech Language Pathologist for the Scottsdale Unified School District from 2012 – 2022, until I retired to start Tribecca Speech Therapy, PLLC.
I believe in a holistic and individualized approach to speech therapy. No two children are the same, and I tailor my interventions to meet each child’s unique needs, strengths, and challenges. I work closely with families and school service providers, collaborating to create a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages progress and success.
I treat a variety of speech and language disorders using evidence-based practices targeted to the individual needs of children ages 3 – 18+. I have treated children with neurological differences including autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and Down Syndrome helping them to improve receptive, expressive, and pragmatic/social language as well as executive function. I utilize a variety of strategies to assist children in managing and improving speech fluency, fostering effective communication in all aspects of life. Over the years, I have developed a passion for and an expertise in the specialty of speech sound disorders. Whether a child struggles with articulation, phonological processing, apraxia of speech, or other motor speech disorders, I am here to provide comprehensive assessment and intervention.
I have advanced training in the area of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing) and I am listed as an approved provider on both the Apraxia Kids and Once Upon A Time Foundation websites. I am currently serving as one of 30 SLPs nationally as a community research clinician for a study regarding dosage of DTTC therapy. Beyond clinical practice, I am an advocate for raising awareness about the importance of communication and its impact on quality of life. I have conducted workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs to share my knowledge with other professionals, including other Speech Language Pathologists and graduate students.
As a parent myself, I understand the concerns and hopes that accompany seeking help for your child. I am not only here to be your child’s speech language therapist but also a supportive partner in their journey towards improved communication.
